Reigate Grammar School (RGS) Awarded Sunday Times School of the Year 2025

We are delighted to share some wonderful news!

RGS has been named  Sunday Times School of the Year for 2025 in the The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide 2025, winning:

  • Independent Secondary School of the Year 2025
  • School of the Year, South East 2025

These awards are possibly the most prestigious accolades a UK school can achieve, and they celebrate not just academic excellence but also pastoral care, extracurricular programmes, and community impact.

This prestigious recognition celebrates the extraordinary support of the staff, students and families in making RGS such a special place. For RGS students, it strengthens the profile of their RGS education for university applications, to employers and for attracting and retaining the very best teachers.

Shaun Fenton, Headmaster commented: “I am so proud of our students and staff and so honoured to be part of the RGS family. I am delighted that this award is based not on only our record-breaking academic outcomes and how students progress to world class universities but it celebrates all aspects of our school, from pastoral care, extracurricular opportunities, and community partnerships.”

This is a very proud moment for RGS and all of us in the RGS Family!
