Year 3 have been inspired by the vibrant, abstract works of Robert Delaunay to create a breathtaking mobile that explores the power of colour and shape. In their art lessons, they mastered the concept of primary and secondary colours and identified warm and cool tones.
Using a variety of materials such as oil pastels, watercolours, acrylic paints and coloured card, they designed and decorated dynamic circular patterns. Each piece reflects their careful thought and creativity, with colour choices that bring energy and harmony to the overall design.
The mobile is beautifully displayed, captivating viewers whether seen from above, below, or as you descend the stairs. Its interplay of colours and textures floating makes it a truly striking work of art.
