Little Angel Theatre Visit

On Thursday, we were delighted to welcome the Little Angel Theatre to our school. They began the day with a whole school assembly, sharing fascinating information about their puppet theatre based in Angel, Islington, London. The children learned about various types of puppets, including:
- Hand, glove, and finger puppets
- Rod puppets
- Muppets
- Shadow puppets
- Pop-up puppets
- Marionettes
- Ventriloquist puppets
- Junk puppets
- Table-top puppets
- Humanette puppets
- Costume puppets
- Cable or trigger puppets
- Radio-controlled and robotic puppets
- Giant puppets
- Stop motion puppets
- Digital puppetry
Alice from The Little Angel Theatre delighted the children by showing them some of her puppets. The children were thrilled, and it seems their favourite was Scruff the Dog!
Following the assembly, the Angel Theatre Company conducted Joyful Jellyfish workshops for all the children in Nursery and Lower School. The workshops focused on being green and using sustainable materials in an eco-friendly way.
Each child used recycled materials to create tentacles for their class jellyfish. The result was a collection of wonderful jolly jellyfish umbrellas, which I'm sure you will agree look fantastic!
