Musical Junk Orchestra Workshop

On Tuesday of Theme Week, the children were treated to an exciting Junk Orchestra Workshop. The day started with a bang, featuring a whole school assembly and an introduction to over 30+ junk instruments. Adding to the fun, some of our teachers were brought up on stage to showcase these unique instruments.

Throughout the day, the children took part in small group workshops, where they got hands-on experience with a variety of the instruments, including drums, bells made from recycled fire extinguishers and bottle tops, a bicycle wheel and some xylophones, all created from recycled materials.

This fantastic opportunity allowed the children to explore music in a creative and eco-friendly way. The workshop not only provided a fun and engaging experience but also highlighted the importance of recycling and reusing materials.

Many thanks to FOM for funding the Junk Orchestra activity for the whole school!
