Well done to 6M on their fantastic World War II–themed class assembly.
The children took us back to 1939, sharing what life was like on the Home Front, including basic food rationing and how women stepped into new roles in factories, on farms as nurses and even bus drivers.
They also introduced the school to evacuees, the Blitz and air‑raid shelters, bringing these moments in history to life with confidence and clarity. The assembly ended beautifully with a rendition of We’ll Meet Again by Vera Lynn.
