Reception children enjoyed a visit from the Freshwater Theatre Company for an exciting workshop that whisked them away on an imaginary journey to the Polar Regions. Inspired by Oliver Jeffers’ story 'Lost and Found', the children used their senses to uncover clues from a range of icy locations, including an iceberg, a frozen lake and even a mysterious cave.
Through drama, songs and rhymes, they explored the features of the frozen landscapes and learned more about polar bears, penguins and Inuit communities. Tania, the workshop leader, was incredibly impressed with how much the children already knew and how confidently they compared the Arctic and Antarctica. Well done everyone!
