What a fantastic time Year 1 had yesterday celebrating Dress for the Decades Day!
The morning began with all the seriousness of a Victorian schoolroom. The children sat neatly in rows, working in silence, before receiving a visit from a senior master (aka Mr Baguley!) who checked their hands for cleanliness and tested their Maths skills. The children entered into the spirit brilliantly and the teachers were all impressed by their mathematical knowledge and focus.
By the afternoon, the atmosphere had transformed. Teachers appeared in new costumes and the emphasis shifted to fun and laughter. In the gym, they played old-fashioned games and even created a human timeline, travelling together from the Victorians all the way to the 1990s.
Thank you to our parents for providing such wonderful costumes and to the children for being such enthusiastic and good‑humoured participants. It was truly a day to remember!
