Year 4 Athletics Festival and Masterclass at RGS

On Thursday, Year 4 travelled to RGS for an Athletics Masterclass and Festival, organised by Mr Seneschall and hosted by RGS Sports staff.

Throughout the morning, the children took part enthusiastically in a range of track and field events, including sprints, hurdles, relay changeovers, shot put and long jump. Working in mixed teams alongside pupils from RSM and Chinthurst, they developed their skills while demonstrating excellent effort, focus and sportsmanship. They supported one another throughout and embraced every challenge.

Unfortunately, torrential rain made conditions increasingly difficult, meaning not all activities could be completed. However, this did not detract from the children’s enthusiasm or the many successes of the morning.

A huge thank you to the RGS staff who braved the weather to deliver such an engaging and enjoyable experience. The children had a fantastic time and rounded off the event with a well-earned KitKat treat.

Cricket Fixtures vs RSM

Unfortunately, due to the weather, all cricket fixtures against RSM this week were cancelled.

We look forward to returning to action next week with fixtures against Lingfield.

Surrey Cricket Success for Josh

We are delighted to share a fantastic recent achievement from Josh in his Surrey cricket fixtures.

Representing the Surrey U11 Talent Pathway squad (Pumas team), Josh delivered an outstanding performance in Week 7 of matches, held at the City of London Freemen’s School. Batting at number four, he scored a superb 50 runs off just 20 balls, including 10 fours and one six, at an impressive strike rate of 250. Remarkably, he reached his half-century in just 19 balls.

A brilliant achievement - well done, Josh!
