This morning, the whole school came together for the final House Assemblies of the half term, centred around our value of the term: Resilience.
Each house explored this theme in creative and engaging ways.
Waterlow took on the challenge of building the tallest free-standing structure using spaghetti, testing their teamwork, problem-solving skills and, most importantly, their resilience when things didn’t go to plan at the first attempt.
Fonteyn embraced the challenge of learning new juggling skills with beanbags, balls and hoops, demonstrating perseverance and determination.
Somers worked collaboratively in small teams on a construction activity, using newspapers and straws to design a structure capable of carrying a car.
Cranston focused on mental health and wellbeing, exploring the importance of being a ‘bucket filler’ rather than a ‘bucket dipper’, with children reflecting on choices that either add to or take away from others’ wellbeing.
It is always wonderful to see the children working together across different year groups, supporting and encouraging one another so positively within their houses.
