Year 2Y Class Assembly: Exploring Feelings
Well done to 2Y for their thoughtful and engaging class assembly this morning, all about 'Feelings'. The children have been learning about different emotions - what they are, how they feel and most importantly, that all feelings are valid and important.
They shared their understanding through The Colour Monster, exploring how feelings can be represented as different colours. The children also demonstrated simple mindfulness techniques, guiding us to “inhale a lush forest and exhale a soft sea breeze” and explaining ways we can help ourselves to relax.
In class, 2Y have created wonderful “toolkits” to support their wellbeing, which they proudly shared during the assembly. At Micklefield, we are committed to supporting every child and initiatives such as Bubble Time and our worry boxes ensure that all pupils feel heard and supported.
Well done 2Y for delivering such a confident and meaningful assembly.
